After six years of a highly successful collaboration with the Spanish Riding School, WIENER ZUCKER now turns the focus of brand communication in a different direction.
To attract new target groups and position the brand even more broadly, the sport theme was chosen, and the absolute superstar player of the Austrian soccer all-time champion SK Rapid Vienna could be won as the attractive advertising medium. The green-white captain and heart of the team, Steffen Hofmann, takes on an important role in the latest TV-spot ‘Austria’s sugar side’.
‘We won the ideal ambassador with Steffen Hofmann. After all, he has been captain of Austria’s most traditional soccer club, SK Rapid, for many years now. The great tradition is also the unifying element of Rapid Vienna and Wiener Zucker. Furthermore, Rapid stands for values such as quality and innovation, namely, principles which are of utmost importance for the brand Wiener Zucker as well’, says Mag. Roman Knotzer, CEO AGRANA Zucker GmbH.
The 30-sec TV-sport has its premiere on Monday, May 9th, just before the main evening program and will be accompanied by print ads. Responsible for the conception is the agency DEMNER, MERLICEK & BERGMANN. English director Trevor Melvin directed the spot and responsible for the cinematic presentation is Filmhaus Wien.
